Rep. Rutherford To Rep. Jayapal: “You & Your Squad Of Ayatollah Sympathizers Are Spreading Propaganda That Divides Our Nation”
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal came to the conclusion that President Trump “recklessly assassinated” Iranian military general Qassem Soleimanai after members of Congress were briefed on the incident by Trump Administration officials.
Jayapal made the claim while speaking during a press conference that followed Wednesday’s briefing.
“President Trump recklessly assassinated Qasem Soleimani. He had no evidence of an imminent threat or attack,” Jayapal said.
“And we say that coming from a classified briefing where, again, there was no raw evidence presented that there was an imminent threat,” she added.
Jayapal’s statement coincided with those made by her colleages, including Congresswoman Ilhan Omar who said the “attack” on Soleimani was “motivated by blind ideology.” Video Below

Congressman John Rutherford (R-FL) slammed Jayapal and her “squad of Ayatollah sympathizers” upon learning of her statement.
“I was in the same briefing as you, @RepJayapal, and this is absolutely false,” Rutherford tweeted.
“You and your squad of Ayatollah sympathizers are spreading propaganda that divides our nation and strengthens our enemies,” he declared along with the hashtag #Iran.
